We aim to only request the information needed for intended purposes and will obtain your explicit consent where required by law before collecting sensitive information.
Automatic Data Collection - We may also receive technical data about your device and activity via cookies, web beacons and similar tools used for advertising, internal analytics and related functions when you access our website or use our online services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and instruct them to not provide personal information without permission. Parents may also contact SANS to request details regarding what personal information we may hold relating to their child, or have such data deleted.
Payment Information
SANS engages in no direct collection or retention of payment data. When a transaction is conducted for an ebike or other products, payment processing is exclusively managed by Shopify Inc., our designated third-party payment processor. All payment data submitted via this website are transferred through Shopify's secure processing portal and are subject to Shopify’s prevailing privacy policy and terms of service. In the event of processing difficulties, SANS will utilize provided contact information to resolve issues. Personal and financial data are not disclosed to third parties, barring those circumstances explicitly detailed in this Privacy Notice.
Information Collection through Website Usage
Financing Arrangements: SANS collaborates with third-party Service Providers to offer financing solutions for ebike purchases. Opting for a financing option redirects the user to the relevant Service Provider’s platform for submission of necessary financial information. SANS holds no authority to influence financing decisions or access related financial data, such as credit scores. Financing eligibility and terms are solely determined by the respective Service Provider.
Data Acquisition via Site Utilization: SANS, alongside authorized Service Providers, employs analytical tools and licensed third-party technologies to gather user data during website interaction. Such data, encompassing both volunteered information and site usage metrics, may be aggregated for a comprehensive understanding of user patterns and website traffic. This includes, but is not limited to, the deployment of third-party analytical instruments for nuanced behavioral analysis.
Log File Data Collection: Anonymous and technical data, such as Internet Protocol addresses, device specifications, browser types, operating systems, software versions, and referring website addresses are collected by SANS or its designated Service Providers. This data is utilized for statistical analysis, website optimization, referral tracking, and enhancement of user experience. SANS retains the prerogative to modify the choice of Service Providers undertaking data analysis. Disagreement with these data collection practices can be addressed by ceasing site use or referring to the 'Controlling Your Personal Information' section.
Cookie Utilization: SANS and Service Providers employ cookies to monitor site interactions, traffic, and user preferences. These cookies are instrumental in refining site functionality, user experience, and advertising efficacy. Users reserve the option to disable cookies via browser settings, acknowledging that such action may impede certain website functionalities. Further information on cookie management is available at FTC Cookie Information.
SANS employs both first-party and third-party cookies, categorized as session and persistent types, in accordance with digital communication standards. First-party cookies, set directly by SANS, and third-party cookies, established by our service providers, serve distinct functions. Session cookies, temporary in nature, expire upon the closure of the web browser session and are integral for fundamental site navigation and operational efficiency. In contrast, persistent cookies, which remain on the user's device post-browser closure or until manual deletion, facilitate user recognition on subsequent visits, contributing to a streamlined user experience. These cookies also assist in the compilation of long-term user engagement data, enhancing our understanding of user preferences and behavior.
SANS utilizes various types of cookies to enhance user experience and site functionality. These include:
1.Essential Cookies: Vital for basic website operations, ensuring access to services (e.g., authentication, website stability, form completion). The absence of these cookies impairs website functionality.
2.Preference Cookies: Tailor user experience based on historical interactions, such as language settings, login preservation, and personalized interface adjustments.
3.Analytical Cookies: Collect and analyze anonymized data to understand user interactions, aiding in website optimization.
4.Social Media Cookies: Facilitate content sharing and interaction with social media platforms.
5.Marketing Cookies: Track user navigation across the website to present targeted advertising.
Additionally, web beacons on certain pages and emails enable the collection of user engagement statistics. Interaction with social networking sites (e.g., Facebook, Twitter) also allows the acquisition of personal information, managed in accordance with the respective site’s privacy policies.
